2027

I have been breeding and exhibiting Whippets under the Broadstrider prefix for nearly fifty years.

Together with my wife, Ruth, we have produced numerous AKC champions and Specialty winners, as well as several influential sires.

As breeders, our proudest achievement has been winning The Stony Meadows Challenge

Trophy for Best Bred-by-Exhibitor at the National Specialty, three times – with three different dogs – thereby earning permanent possession. This trophy holds special significance for us, as the late Doris Wear of Stoney Meadows was one of our earliest mentors.

I am a member of the American Whippet Club, the Greyhound Club of America, and the Mid-Atlantic Hound Association.

My judging career began in 2013 when I was approved by the American Kennel Club to

judge Whippets. I am currently approved for 17 additional Hound breeds, as well as Border Terriers, and have judged at numerous AKC all-breed and Specialty shows across the United States. In 2025, I was honored to serve on the judging panel at the 7th Australian Whippet National in Melbourne, Victoria.

I am delighted and honored to be judging at the Sighthound Festival Donaueschingen 2027.
